Fishing Through Flooded History | Bass Fishing & Lake Stories

Papa and I have been fishing this lake for years, and every trip tells a new story. Back in 2019, heavy rains raised the water level by 15 feet, flooding homes and forever changing the shoreline. To this day, abandoned houses, fallen trees, and old piers remain — reminders of the flood that reshaped the lake.

In this video, we head back out on the water for a day of bass fishing, spotting wildlife like eagles and snapping turtles, and revisiting the places where homes once stood. Along the way, we hook into some bass, test out swimbaits, and capture drone shots of the flooded shoreline.
