Today I am fishing a flooded lake for bass. Catching big bass in shallow water is easy when the lake is flooded. They like to explore the newly accessible water and look for food. Smaller bass also like to explore the new shallows too, so don’t think its only giants. I start out fishing with a wacky rig and catch a big bass, up close to the bank. I soon switch to a weightless rig after missing a couple fish. I quicly catch a few more bass on the new rig too. This is one of my best fishing trips so far this year. If you have a chance to fish a flooded lake for bass, try fishing the shallow areas. #realistic #fishing

Really nice fish and great work out there Alex ! The rain and flooding even up in NJ of late has been off the charts. Been sticking to the lakes/ponds as a result.
Great looking Bass Alex! Congratulations
Sure didn't wash away any of the goose crap. Was there last night, all over my shoes. Hope to see you out there sometime. Great content as always.
Dude, you totally inspired me today to fish a weightless senko on a 1/o finesse hook. Caught 4, lost 2 more.
Last time I tried fishing flooded back like that I couldn't pay to catch a fish, but you caught the snot out of them.
We aren't bass fishers but, even in our 70's it's still probably not too late to start. We do like to watch your shows, and can relate to your colder months when you are fishing for stocked trout. Here in the Rockies that's mostly what we have. But we enjoy every episode, no matter the subject so . . . keep'em coming and thanks!
Those are some nice catches Alex, that big one that got away! WOW.
Did you pick that color at random or do you find colors like that effective in muddy water?
Nice job finding them in that stained up water! My lakes have been completely opposite theyβre low and much clearer than normal. Iβve definitely had to switch up my tactics but itβs been coming together!
Man those look like good conditions to get bass to the shore line! I prefer to go with a darker color like a june bug since the water is so muddy but you got good results!
Not a bad day of fishing, Alex. I usually throw big bladed spinnerbaits in those conditions.
Canβt believe you are fishing from the path you walk. Even in a flooded condition you can catch bass in the shallows. Great job
Wow, that was really flooded at the club! I know losing that big one hurt a little. Really nice fish in those conditions Alex.
Doing the bass fishing job well even extreme conditions! Awesome video, Alex! Love the channel! Keep on keeping it realistic!
Love watching you catch fish even if the lake was flooded. #keepitrealistic
Hey Alex. Need to use an octopus circle hook (1/O). Fyi. Great vids.
Keep it realistic
Some of my rivers an lakes are closed this year in fresno ca so my realistic fishing has not been easy but that's what it is keep it realistic .
Another nice video! Definitely looking forward to Part 2 of this adventure. Enjoyed watching and thanks for the information you shared about fishing flooded areas. Keep up the good work Alex. And as always, #RealisticFishing rocks!!!
I was having the same issue; missing fish same hook with weed guard. The wacky rig is fine but try it without the weed guard. Good Luck! I enjoy your videos, low stress and Realistic.
WOW that is up frome last time it was way down! get a lot of rain??
You where in the zone on this one Alex nice fish π― ππ½πͺπ½ come on part two gotta see what my brother caught nextπ
Good video. And lots of great fish. Flooded lake is fire!
Guess sticking with the whacky rig paid off. Great job. KIR
Sup Alex, saw you fish flooded water in past, but wow that's super flooded lol. Makes sense bass would take advantage. Great job figuring them out, can't wait for more, tyvm tc π£
Keep it right in the snoot!
"Holy cow! π" π£πͺ
I switched to circle hooks for wacky rigs because of the same issue of losing bites. The circle hooks made a huge difference for meππ»ππ» awesome work on the flooded lake ππ£
Nice Bass! Fishing flooded water definitely paid off.
Awesome catches Alex, especially that 3lber ! I agree with you changing your bait (hated to see you lose a nice catch and yes there is crying in fishing π)Appreciate you sharing your thoughts on how you fish in those flooded conditions, can't wait part 2 π£π
Nice video, as always. Here, lots of flooding, more to come today. No fishing today.
Nice bass Alex experiments are what make it fun keep doing great content love your channel keeping it Realistic in Oklahoma
What a great day of fishing. I love fishing during a light rain shower. Looking forward to the next video.
Wow Alex how long did it rain to flood like that
That's a good day fishing rewarded with a couple nice bass. So much water!!! Keep It Realistic Alex.
Alex, sir, have you ever tried a 4" fluke on a 3/0 hook weightless?
