Fish Oil Pill Hack: INSTANT Bass at Deer Lake BC (Paddleboard Fishing)

Bass fishing Deer Lake BC during an August heat wave was way tougher than I expected. The bass were glued under the lily pads in the shade and refused almost everything I threw, until I tried a fish oil pill hack and suddenly the bite turned on right at the end of the trip. I was out on my paddleboard with my girlfriend, and of course she still managed to catch a few without the trick because she is just built different.

I started with a big Senko and got bites but missed every fish that grabbed it. I switched to a finesse setup and it stayed quiet until I smeared the fish oil onto a soft plastic fluke. After I tuned my baitcaster so it finally stopped birdnesting, I hooked two largemouth fast and wrapped up the session.
