FISH AND BONES | Creek Fishing with a Spotted Bass, Big Rock Bass & Wild Find
What started as a laid-back creek session turned into a wild ride. I threw around swimbaits and craws trying to get on some smallies, and ended up hooking into a solid mix of fish—including a fat rock bass, a nice spotted bass, and a handful of aggressive red eyes. The bite picked up just ahead of a storm front rolling in, and I even spotted a water moccasin sliding through the rocks and stumbled onto a gnarly deer carcass upriver that marked the end of the line. The conditions were weird, the action was solid, and the day was classic Tennessee creek fishing—full of surprises.
