  1. Jigs are probably my number one baits if you count all the types I use (swim, finesse, pitching, blah blah). A couple observations I’ve made over the years…there are two main ways to effectively fish a swim jig. If you have a paddle trailer (I love the Yamamoto kickin zako for a 1/4 or 3/8 oz swim jig), you just reel. It will pulse, it’ll do its thing and the only thing you need to do is pause here and there, maybe vary your retrieve a bit to see what makes em hit. The other way is to wiggle your rod tip a bit…I sometimes do this if I’m swimming a pitching jig back to the boat or if I wanna try and swim with a non-paddle trailer.

Also, jig fishing can be as simple or complex as you wanna make it. You can go out there with just a black/blue and a pumpkin setup for starters and you’re already in great shape. Then there’s the other end of the spectrum. I tie my own jigs so I like to experiment with different colors/fades/etc…on top of that, the trailer market is annoyingly vast. But at the end of the day, if you’re new…just pick up a couple of jigs/trailers that appeal to you and start from there. Jigs are nowhere near as intimidating as they might seem.

  2. I just love looking at all your videos 📹. I'm recovering from Stage Four Cancer ♋️. When Diagnosed, they gave me Only three weeks Max too Live. I've been bed 🛌 ridden for almost nine years. I've been on my feet now for eight Months. Wishing you all had Boat Carpet and Stickers. I would gladly recommend 👌 you all.

  3. Did Jimmy dad drive him to ramp on that first shot of swim jig video? I swear he wasn't shaving then at least 😂. No being serious the swimjig has been my go to spring into fall for years now. Can't beat the versatility of that style.

  4. You had me at "jigs". I love fishing jigs! For me, fishing a swim jig means using one with a flatter head, like the Strike King KVD or Tour Grade swim jig. I have several of the Denny Brauer Structure Jigs and they are great, but I use them more as an Arkie style jig. That wide, fat head doesn't come through the thick hydrilla we have here as well as the ones with the thinner, flat head. The 6th Sense Divine swim jig is also exceptionally effective. It skips really well with that wedge-shaped head.
