First Bass on My New KastKing Spartacus II

Welcome back to VM OUTDOORZ! Today we’re chasing largemouth bass on the Black River in Lorain, Ohio, fishing from my Hobie Pro Angler 14 while putting my new KastKing Spartacus II baitcaster to work for the first time. The bite was slow with air temperatures pushing 98°F and a water temperature of 87°F, but we still managed to put a couple of bass in the kayak and enjoyed an incredible Ohio sunset on the water.

I was joined by two friends fishing from a Perception Crank 10.0 and a Voyager Angler 10, making for a great evening of Ohio kayak fishing despite the summer heat.
