First Baitcaster Bass this Year! Spring Bass Fishing With a Rage Craw

I caught my first baitcaster bass this year! Spring bass fishing with a Rage Craw just might be how you can catch your first bass of the season. While temperatures are still a bit low, I am finally getting a few bites on soft plastics like this craw. These small bass are the first to come shallow, but the larger fish are not far behind. Now that I broke the ice on baitcaster fishing, I will have to try this rig more often. Still trying to get your first bass on a baitcaster? Maybe fishing with a rage craw can make it happen. #bassfishing

  1. Would you recommend a left or right handed bait caster combo for a right handed angler biting their first bait caster? I'm used to casting and holding the rod with my right hand and reeling with the left with spinning tackle. It seems counter intuitive to suddenly switch.

  2. Nice Alex! I caught my first Bass of the season last Sunday, 3.71 lbs on a spinner bait.. I was more than excited to see them starting to get active. Good things to come!!!
