Not a fishologist by any means but, As the Craw Fish begin to un-bury them self from the sandy bottoms and rocks and come out of their Hibernation they have a huge orange/reddish look to them and matching the hatch is the Red Craw lip less trap get a serious amount of attention. Anyone else feeling the Lojo – Norm- Yak- Dub- Kickin Vibe? Here's the real Squad in MHO just sayin. 👊

The experts say that because crawfish are hiding in the mud house this time of year, they take on the color, and bass are genetically predisposed to the color of their prey during the season. I just watched Tactical Bassin, or wired to fish explain it and what colors to throw when. It also explains how a rainbow swimbait will die a quick death in a lake that doesn’t have them.
Craws are more active during the winter
Man I feel like everyone's a "teacher" on youtube these days but the stuff ya'll are "teaching"…Yes, any lure on any given day will work, but let's maximize our chances.
But jigs in the winter, you don't want big flapping appendages, you want subtle smaller ones.

The attraction of red crawfish colored cranks is in the late winter/early spring time when crawfish are molting.
I definitely agree on the ned and the jerk bait. I'd add a blade bait like a Silver buddy, a fluttering spoon, and slow rolling a spinner bait.
