We took a step back and decided to fish a small pond near my brothers house. We have been here before and while rare, there are a few bass in the 2 lb range. Our primary motivation has been the wind as of late, we wanted to avoid yet another trip exposed on a larger body of water. Today I chose to go 100% ultralight tackle and my go to lure is the strike king bitsy pond minnow. This was a choice which really paid off, it matched the forage exactly.
