In this video I finally get a chance to just go out and fun fish! No tournament practice and no time restrictions! I like the fall and I love fishing the Chesapeake during the fall season! The fish are finally cooperating on the Bay and the fall bite is in full swing! There is a variety of ways to catch these fall bass but I love to use a crankbait and other reaction baits. I caught a few cranking and a few on jigs today. Water conditions on the Chesapeake are still pretty dirty so I was limited on where I could fish! I can’t wait for the water to get right again! Maybe next year as we just got dumped on by some more rain this week!

Travis is primarily a self-taught angler that is always learning and experiencing this amazing sport of fishing. He started out fishing for walleyes and fishing in local walleye tournaments, but then in his mid 20’s, he caught the BASS BUG and has been hooked every since. He competed at the highest level in bass fishing on the Bassmaster Elite Series for a number of years. He is a fishing guide offering trips on the Chesapeake Bay for largemouth bass(year round), guided trips for smallmouth back in Wisconsin (during select times) and trophy smallmouth bass guided trips in Upstate New York (May-November) His Youtube Channel is named after his passion for the smallmouth bass and will be used as a platform for “how-to” videos, on the water instruction, crazy on and off the water topics and vlogs on the day in the life of a fishing addict! 1. Hey Travis, love the vids. That mlf situation sucks, and I’m supporting the petition. Is it possible to fish the bay with a not outstanding sonar? Have a merry Christmas man

  2. You should have a Giveaway to an UNLUCKY Subscriber for that reel….and maybe throw in some Spirit Shads and a few Dirty Jigs because you feel bad for the Winner! Hahaha hahaha ….
Otherwise, the only thing that reel is good for is holding the line to your plug knocker…..
I have to give it to you Travis, until you started filming on the Upper Chesapeake it never was a place I thought as a destination…. Definitely changed my opinion! Kudos!

  3. Keep the vids coming to help pass this winter by! If you had to choose between 360 or panoptix, which would you choose? Not many use both so your opinion is probably more fair than most.

  4. Hey Travis, I notice you use the bird 360 for the ultrex. What do you think of the unit? I'm contemplating getting one myself but not sure if it's worth it. What are your thoughts on it?

  5. I bet you glad to be back to an are you are use to after your gunterville trip. It’s amazing he difference in how you have to fish and how fish relate to different things in different areas. There are some huge fish in the Tennessee River system. But the tactics used are much different then where you are here. Great job. Was a good day.
