It’s practice day for the Illinois B.A.S.S. Nation Tournament, and I’m out here trying to dial in that fall bite. The top 10% move on to the Kayak Championships in Tennessee, so this one matters. I’m focusing on points and weed lines, trying to put together a solid pattern that’ll hold up on tournament day.

In this video, I’ll walk you through how I approach tournament practice — from how I break down new water to what I look for when the fall transition starts to kick in. If you’re into bass fishing, kayak fishing, or just want to learn more about finding fish in tough conditions, I’ll share some fishing tips and techniques that’ll help you catch more bass this time of year.

I try to keep things real out here — no overhype, just laid-back fishing, learning, and getting better every trip. Whether you’re new to competitive fishing or just love being part of the fishing community, you’ll pick up something useful in this one.

🎣 Topics in this video:

How to find fish on weed lines and secondary points
Reading fall water temps and bait movement
Adjusting your approach during tournament practice
