Hi everyone, thanks for watching me go on another fishing adventure. On August 17, I went for a short outing in the morning to fish the SPRO KGB Swimbait. I caught a small pike and then caught a 2 lbs smallmouth by a dock. Though this is not my first swimbait/glide bait bass, it is my first smallie swimbait fish.
It was a cold windy morning so I couldn’t find any productive fish. I got a nice 3 lbs largemouth bass and then caught a few smaller pike and bass later on the day. Those catches were not in this video. I ended up cutting the day short.
A few days later I went for an afternoon session. I intended to throw some bigger swimbaits again but I didn’t find any action. I decided to stroll a DEPS Sakamata on weed edges and ended up catching a nice largemouth. I realized I was next to a point so I turned the boat around and noticed some fish chasing bait on livescope. I continued to stroll some more but decided to throw a red jig to slow down the presentation. Turns out there was a school of 2-3 lb largemouth on the point. I was able to catch some of them hopping a jig. The biggest one out of the school that I landed was a 19 inch, 3.8 lbs largemouth.
