Exploring CRYSTAL CLEAR River For The Texas State Fish Guadalupe Bass
This river has been extremely frustrating for me lately…when I was a kid my dad and I used to catch TONS of bass including some very nice largemouth every single trip out to these areas. The last couple of years though big fish have been super tough to come across in this body of water and I’m not sure why. Our Texas state fish, the Guadalupe bass, still has a pretty good population there, although it’s not quite what it used to be either. Unlike a lot of Guadalupe bass, most of the ones in this body of water are not a hybrid of any kind. That makes a nice specimen like the one I end up landing a trophy size fish when you consider the WORLD RECORD pure Guadalupe bass is under 4lbs!
