Was your secret trick hanging a worm on a hook and catch them from the bank? That's how we caught them as kids on the bank of a creek on our property. Just dangle in front and frogs galore.
Most too big to use as bait. Just took a worm and being quiet. I'm only 5 and a half minutes into the video.

You need to use a big j hook instead of circle hooks. Since frogs are big and difficult to eat, you want to be able to set the hook
There was a pro fisherman, i believe doug hannon(?), who used live baby ducks for huge bass in the 80s and 90s. Perhaps further back even. Peopl complaining about live frogs for bait should quit fishing and take up peta activism or quilting

You can catch frogs with your fishing pole and a red lure. They will attack it if you dangle it in front of them. The frogs attack red

easy way to catch frogs is a worm on a small hook and lower it slowly in front of the frog. Used to catch loads of bulls when I was a kid.
