Evening Smallies On A New Lake

A quick stop at a new lake to fish for some smallmouth bass! The water was super clear with lots of rocks for fish to hang out around. I couldn’t get them to hit topwater but the wacky worm never fails!

  1. Hey Matt. I just wanted to thank you really quick for all this additional warm-weather content you made to share with us now. I appreciate your forethought and planning. It's been nice to watch these recent videos and at least IMAGINE that it's warm outside. Thanks for all your hard work.

  2. Seeing all of those dragonflies would probably have many people thinking topwater, as bass enjoy feeding on dragonflies and other large insects during the summer.
It was nice to hear that loon couple. But I know the way jet skiers can be. They can be a big nuisance as they don't even care about others around them and aren't being smart about structure and water depth.

  3. OMG Dude ,
that ending with that sunset on the calm waters…

    i miss that sooooo much
    sighs 😑

thanks for sharing brother Matt an stay safe out there..
    Buh Bye from Canada 👋🤓

  4. Ive been watching you for a few years now and not one video of yours ever disappoints me. My favorite part is the same old line "thanks for coming along with me again. Ill see you next time" I have it memorized.

  5. Can't wait to fish again, finally a thaw here, but it's going to take a while to melt ice 11" thick. Fun to watch these videos, they give us hope for spring.

  6. Probably not the right lake, but I gotta ask, is this Island Lake up in Northwest MN? It just looks so much like it and its the lake I would go to on vacations as a kid. Love that lake, favorite spot on earth.
