Today I headed down the mountain to Lake James just outside of Marion, North Carolina with my friend Mike to learn some dropshot techniques & snatch a few Smallmouth & Spotted Bass.
Can’t say I had a whole lot of luck, again, but Mike drop shots snagged a few trophies out of the murky depths.
We’re headed back to Cold Mountain games lands again next for round 2 against the big Rainbow trout & back to Lake James the following week. Hopefully, I will have upped my game enough to snag some trophies of my own.
And as always, KEEP IT CLEAN. KEEP IT OPEN. At WBO we believe it is our God-given responsibility to be good stewards of our outdoor spaces. Whether you’re overlanding, off-roading, fishing, hiking, or hunting, always haul out what you haul in. If you can, bring an extra trash bag & pick up some of the garbage the worst of society leaves lying around our streams & trails.

Great video. I was just out there yesterday but didn't get a bite; of course the water temp was only 60 degrees. Which ramp did you use?
