Epic Kayak Bass Fishing Weekend: Swimbaits, Big Catches & My First Trip of 2025!

After a long 9 months away from the kayak, I’m finally back on the water, and it feels so good! This early spring trip marks my first outing of the year, and I couldn’t be more excited to get back to what I love: kayak bass fishing. I didn’t really know what to expect and was just out to have fun on the water.

In this video, I’m throwing a mix of swimbaits like the Bull Shad Gill Glide (6″ and 7″ inch), 13 Fishing Coalition Baits Bluegill Wedgetail 5.25, and the 6th Sense The Draw 9 Glide Bait. Austin was also throwing a Bull Shad 7″ Trick Shad and caught his first bass on a hard swimbait!

A huge thanks to Austin for letting me tag along and inviting me to join him for the weekend—it was awesome getting to share this experience! And watch him land his first & big bass on his new trick shad swimbait! Join us on this video during this early spring fishing weekend and share the thrill of getting back into the groove of kayak fishing. It’s great to be back, and I can’t wait for the season ahead!
