Epic Golf Course Pond Fishing! Big Bass From The Kayak!

Come along as we explore an awesome golf course pond! The water is crystal clear with big bass all around! Tim jumps in the kayak armed with a senko, chatterbait, and a variety of keitech swimbaits. It doesn’t take long for the pond fish to start biting! Kick back, relax, and enjoy some awesome pond fishing!

Any time you go out in the kayak space is going to be a bit limited. Tim prepared by carrying a small bag with a great mix of baits. He chose 3 rods (2 bait casting and one spinning) that he could adapt to all the baits he was carrying so he wouldn’t be overloaded with equipment. On the water he started his fishing targeting deeper water but found the best quality fish along shallow grass edges.

Below is a breakdown of all the baits and equipment Tim used in the video. All the bait and gear links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed descriptions and close up photos of each item.

  1. Man that was awesome video. I enjoyed that. I love kayaking and you should do more video of kayak fishing. I also like your Reef flip flops. I'm a huge fan of flip flops. I have the same color and style. I have very very wide feet 4 EEEE WITH fat wide toe. Reef seem to be the only flip-flops I can barely fit my feet in because my feet are wider than the straps. But they are comfortable and I love the bottle openers. I hate shoes because I have a hard time finding a pair 2 fit me without crushing and hurting my toes. Great Channel and keep up the good work.

  2. Question for anyone… how long does braid last before needing to be changed?Β  When I use braid, it seems like after a half dozen trips, it starts wrapping up under itself, and the casts suck!Β  Maybe its the quality of braid?Β  Haven't tried the Sunline Hi-Vis, but I think I'm gonna.

  3. I love my kayak. Got a trophy kayak and it works well for me. Can go pretty much where others cant go and get that elusive bite. Especially here In philly.

  4. I've been pond fishing ever since I was a kid and I love it. It seems more rewarding to me when I get a huge bass for some reason. I think it's because it a shock to get such a big bass from a smaller body of watering.

  5. Thanks so much for these videos! Im a kayak guy myself. Im trying to perfect my rod / reel arsenal. What are your top 4 rod / reel combos that can do it all? Im hoping to take 4 setups with me that allow me to throw anything from the kayak. Love watching these!

  6. Nice day. Landed a bunch of good fish and no swimming this time!!!
That’s got to be the nicest pond ever. I’m surprised they didn’t have a beverage boat bringing you cocktails.
    LOL

  7. Odds of being flipped in a kayak on Clear Lake, home of 3 – 5 ft rollers and 21 ft missiles: High.

Odds of being flipped in a kayak on private senior community golf course pond: 0.00%

  8. thats awesome! we need more kayak videos. Sucks that we cant kayak fish up here in Sacramento rn with the parks being closed . i forgot how much bank fishing sucks lol

  9. FYI….im waiting in the Corona line outside bass pro and have gotten 2 dift thumbs up for my Tactical reaper hoodie!! I thought i was cool b4 but this is a whole step up. Teaching me to fish and raising my cool factor….yall are the best!!

  10. When I was young we used to ride our bikes on the golf course here in SwFla and catch tons of bass ,, We found a pond that had wild shiners so we would chum with bread then use a #16 hook with bread ball and catch bad ass wild shiners then fish with them ,, 1st time I used a big wild shiner on the golf course with the same small rod I caught the shiner with , I was reeling the lip hooked 8 – 9in shiner in and a 6lb bass inhaled it !! I caught the bass and was hooked on shiners for bait!! Also used to get big snook come up the river running through golf course and they loved the shiners too!! Golf course fishing in my younger years was awesome this was prob in the early 80s and back then nobody hassled us for fishing plus we would usually go when course wasnt busy in late afternoons and eve time ,, Golf course Lakes n rivers hold alot of fish in them if u can get too them !! Loved your video brought back old skool memories for me !! Thx

  11. By any chance have you guys been able to get your hands on the new Zodias with the Carbon Monocoque Butt? If so, can you tell me you initial impressions? Would love to see a review eventually.

  12. Headed out large pond fishing tomorrow and was setting up gear when i saw this. Its 4:40 a.m. and i just finished retying everything you had on. May just go straight out. Snowed 6 inches yesterday and supposed to be 55Β° and sunny today. Hope that moves em up a bit? Fishing in the windy city…always tricky! Great great video. Almost as much fun as fishing myself. As thorough as yalls videos are, nothing beats watching you fish up close like that and getting a front row seat to how you work dift baits. The kayak footage really highlights it so i clearly suggest more of that. That was awesome. I cant wait to get out now! TB is the best! Think ill wear my TB reaper Sweatshirt to remind me of this footage!!

  13. i like that texas rigged weedless also for very rocky areas.. i love drop shot.. but it snag so much.. if i do texas weightless/ weedless then i rarely get it snagged and dont get frustrated every other cast. i should try those twisty ones because with the regular ones i lose my bait sometimes. i also had the idea to go to the golf courses.. because i think most of them are closed for golfing right now.. can probably walk right on and go fish. nice ones bro.. the water finally warming at my lake and its one of the very few that are still open.. males are starting to move up and make beds.. i think the fishing will be good now for the next couple months.. though im getting them on texas rigged on the drop with just very light bites but i think it will only get better. nice vid and fish man
