New subscriber to the channel. Beaver Lake holds a special place in my fishing scrap book. In the last 80s and early 90s I used to go to Beaver once or twice a year (from Missouri) to fish with a guide for striper and white bass. Great trips. Caught my PB striper – 38+ pound pig – balloon rig & live bait. We caught 4 fish that in the 35 to 42 lb. range. And the white bass were plentiful and tasty. 🙂

I have fished a similiar jighead with the horizontal line tie, and I think that the line tie positioned as it is, hangs in the fishes mouth, sometimes preventing the hook to set properly…ie get a bite, set the hook (good hook set) and fight for a few seconds before the fish just opens its mouth and swims away, its very frusterating!

Best videos/explanation/details I've seen since the In-Fisherman. I used to live in Arkansas and fished Greers, Norfork, Ouchita, Hamilton, DeGray, Arkansas River and Millwood…Absolutely bass heaven. I miss fishing there so much.
I to have wasted hours trying to catch females when they haven't moved up. One day i watched an old timer come in to the creek i was fishing. He stopped in the gut of the creek, 22 ft of water an caught 3 big females. I graphed were he caught them and there was nothing there just the gut of the creek out in the middle. We all fish the channel bank but thats not the deal sometimes.
Good stuff Johnny. I fished Greers last Thursday and ran the back fingers of Devils Fork. Water was really dirty but water temps in upper 50s. Started fishing slow baits, but ended up 13 decent fish on a bladed swim jig in one creek.
