Early Spring Bass FIshing – The Irresistible Swim Jig

Finally, early spring is here. My daughter and I decided to take the boat out to chase early spring bass. It was a partly sunny and really windy day so we tied on our all time favorite moving baits, the swim jig, the chatterbait and the spinnerbait, to chase big large or small mouth bass in shallow water.

We landed our first large mouth bass on a swim jig at the first spot. We did not catch any fish on the spinner bait and the chatterbait, on that day, the swim jig worked the best and helped us to get some pretty decent large mouth bass into the boat. We also landed a nice pike on the swim jig, we were not expecting to catch one so it was a really nice surprise.

We caught more large mouth bass that we expected. It was a really one day!
