Only thing I want to pitch in is on releasing any fish you don't want to pull them forward and backward thru the water you move them in an 8 figure forward only due to how fish take oxygen thru their gills pulling them forward then backwards can cause damage to their gills. Tight line.

What type of popper were you using?
everyone needs to relax about the size and weight. who really cares if it was 2 or 10 lbs. he was having a great time and was showing off some exciting topwater hits. I'm not a bass fisherman so i can't say if he was correct or not on the weight but i can sau i went out and bought a few poppers for a local pond because it looked so fun. just remember everyone we were all young once and every fish we cought was a giant. have fun and let those drag scream.
