  1. Great video! I have a couple buzzbaits in the tackle box, but haven't thrown em much – being stuck on land without a boat, I feel like the loud top water baits blow up a spot if the fish don't like it and turn the bite off when something more subtle might work, but with a boat your method makes perfect sense. I tend to burn spinner baits right below the surface so that they boil every now and then, but it seems there's a definitive difference between spinners, chatter baits, and buzz baits. I'm getting a Kayak this spring, so I'm definitely going to try these other presentations this year

  2. It all really depends on where you are, although LMB’s aren’t big up in the northern states, I just smashed my PB with a 5 LB on a Texas Creature Rig using Watermelon Pumpkin colors in a clear but green murky weeded pond. Caught it in 45 degree rising to 50 in MN, the bass in my pond are so finicky, but all it takes is an aggressive reaction.

I was chasing it along the walkway dock, tossed my bait just passed it and my line crossed it’s back making it do a 180, then crawling it as it inches closer and closer, never in my life have i sat for a minute straight until it took. 😅

  3. I'm glad you done this video. It's very informative. I have never had any luck with the buzzbait. But listening to you gives me a better insight on how I should be fishing it.

  4. I ran a little test last Sunday, I ran the buzz bait about 3 feet below the surface and they went for it. Originally I was juat goofing off wondering is a fish would bite and sure enough, caught about 6 running it under the surface like a spinner.

  5. Thanks Jason. Buzz baits are just a fun lure to fish. Sometimes almost hypnotic. I bet if you would have picked up your spinnerbait you would of been back in business. Back to back you got this.

  6. Great video. This was a topic that I needed to pick up some tips on. Thanks for the information. I am looking forward to the Seminole tournament, I will be there to cheer you on. I know a few spots on that lake that are real good in February.
