Swimbaits, jerkbaits, dropshot worms, and so many other awesome products have come to market since ICAST. It looks like this Fall is going to be a lot of fun! Today Matt is showing us a few of the new lures that stand out to him, along with a few items that he’s been testing for a while. You know Matt is a tackle junkie so come along and see what he’s found.
Every year ICAST (Bass fishing’s biggest trade show) brings the promise of fun new gear to check out in the Fall. This year Tim did a review of some of his favorites and now its Matt’s turn. The delays are over, products are beginning to hit store shelves, and its time for the fun to begin. We all love showing bass something new, we just want to know that we we aren’t wasting valuable time and money on a dud.
Some of today’s products are brand new to market and are simply a first look, others we’ve been using for as much as a year and are just now circling back to confirm our stamp of approval. Below is a breakdown of the gear in the video in order of appearance.

I'm just starting to try to get into bass fishing more now that I have a boat. I live in southern Illinois and the weather is starting to change and be in the upper 70s to mid 80s during the day and mid to high 50s during the night and early morning. So far I've found that I like using a swim jig and soft plastic worms. I've tried crank baits before but don't ever really seem to have any luck with them. I'm also trying to build up my bait choices for the different lakes that I go to
God is good
great
You guys are still the best .
What if these not fall? I herd little as 3 week maybe ice fishing in Minnesota. Got 9walleye lastnight in 30 minutes and 5 were ver 25"
Hey Matt I have a question about jigs ,I know ya covered it many times but I feel that jigs aren't covered from the bank perspective. I bank fish at lake cachuma when I get a chance .thanks Justin
What do yall think of the shimano SLX DC reel
Green pumpkin bobber stop…I get it. OCD won't let me be either, Matt. You guys have the best outdoor channel on youtube. Keep up the good work.
I know it started as a clear water technique, but has anybody ever thrown a spybait in stained, tannic water or inshore?
Any luck with it?
Never thrown one and interested to try.
Definitely gonna check out the green pumpkin blue pearl red yellow june bug black white peanut butter jelly smoked shad watermelon ghost bubblegum rainbow sparkle (aka Bluegill) though!
I want to fish everyday.. I hope one day I'll be able to do something like that. All around the country.. thanks for helping us fishing guy's and girls.. one day I get to meet yall .. .. good stuff..
Exactly what I wanted to hear about!! A great all around baitcasting rod. I really want to start and needed to find a great do everything recommendation. Thanks
What size under spin do you use on the d-walker. I'm really wanting to try that out.
I love big bite Baits, I used their jig trailer and caught my 10.3 PB. Bought 100 packs after that! 😂
You guys should do a review on beginner kids rods for young kids. Not that cheap stuff but not high end. Everybody wants them to have a good experience on the water.
Hi Matt, could you tell us where to find the buzz bait you held up to use with the River 2 Sea D Walker. Thanks!
How are you rigging the tour tube?
Hey guys fan of your channel, I'm an amputee angler in Colorado, I'd definitely love to see you guys tear it up in some of the ponds and lakes, the bass here are way over fished because we have more streams. It would be amazing to come out here and do a fall bass challenge either from bank or boat in fall! Plus I'd love to tag along, get some pointers, as I'm not new but new to fishing without my master angler father who did all my rigs for me as a kid, so I'm relearning this! I'm an extremely big bank fisherman, and as an Amputee I'm walking 20 thousand steps some days covering the banks, bass are tough here, I'd love to join ya if you ever want to come try the mile high state bass challenge!!
Does anyone else hit the thumbs up before even watching the video? Always great content. Thanks again.
Man my wife hates these videos the most
I have fished as a kid but I'm just getting into the tactical approaches to fishing years later. Your channel is amazing with all the information and instructional videos you do. I have learned a ton of stuff from your videos. Look forward to seeing more videos in the future. I looking at the past videos from tactical bassin also. Thanks for what you guys do
what do yall think the best $200ish rod is in terms of sensitivity? i was wanting to get a zodias but still open to other options.
one rod does it for me. im a poor fisherman. really enjoy your vids but how much tackle does one man need to catch a fish
What size Owner Flashy Swimmer hook are using on that D Walker?
Have you had problems with the Aaron Martin nano trebles breaking? I've broke several while fighting a fish and lost the fish.
Next Level!
Thank you for your opinion!
Missing a TW sale sucks bilge water.
Black and blue or junebug soft plastic is all you need
WOW That Char!!! Keep up the great work Matt, best YouTube channel out there!!!
Again you guys are selling Tackle Warehouse out =). 843 is out of stock. Probably for the best though.
Approximately how much $ do you have invested in lures/baits? Tackle Warehouse could sustain, just on myself…lol
Always love the tackle review videos, great stuff fellas!
Good info right there. I haven't seen some of those baits till now. Those under water shots of the bait action are premo.
Awesome thanks for the fall bait updates. Do you think you can jerkbait on the gloomis mbr 843 or should I just get specific jerkbait rod?
What underspin head was that one?
