Drop Shot Mayhem & Chunky Bass! Chill Afternoon Kayak Fishing with Papa

This afternoon out on the kayaks turned into a steady mix of bites, snags, laughs, and some solid largemouth bass. Me and Papa worked our way around brush piles, weedlines, and pockets loaded with baitfish — and the fish didn’t disappoint.

The drop shot was getting hammered nonstop, even if half the day felt like guessing between a bite and a snag. A couple little dinky boys, a few chunkier fish, and eventually a nice 2.3 lb bass to wrap things up. Papa hooks into a good one too, and we even run into a snapping turtle, schools of fry, and a submerged boat on the fish finder.
