Small Mouth Bass are one of the most protected fish in Chicago, Took a stroll along my Favorite Harbor, Burhnam for some of the abundant aggressive critters. Fished both the harbor and northerly island new Pond area for bass. The crystal clear water makes mono or Flurocarbon a must when it comes to line. These fish see all, So wear polorized glasses and stay low to even the playing field 🙂 Avoid bed Fishing when ever possible. Thank you for watching. Happy Fishing!

Awesome, thanks for sharing! I'm in the west suburbs but have not fished downtown there. Can't wait to try it out. New angler here, but I've learned holding LMB by the mouth on an angle / horizontal is harmful to them without supporting their body. Better vertical, or two hands to keep pressure off their jaw. Is that not the same for SMB?

I am SHOCKED to see how high the water is in Burnham Harbor! When I was fishing the lakefront years ago, 2004 through 2006, it was during some of the record low lake levels.
