Douglas Lake 11/16/24, Morristown Marine Winter Series Tournament Stop # 1

Stop number 1 of the Morristown Marine Winter Series tournaments. I failed miserabley in this torunament. I had fished Douglas the prior two saturdays and had put together what I felt was a decent pattern. The biggest mistake I made was putting most of my ducks in two shallow pockets that had sunken structure in them. I was 100% confident that I could get a limit out of those two pockets. What I didn’t plan for was the continued pulling of the lake down to winter pool. When I pulled into the first pocket and saw how much the water had dropped in a week, my heart sunk. I did manage one keeper out of the second pocket but the wind had been let out of my sails and I struggled the rest of the day. But, any day I get to spend fishing on this beautiful lake is a blessing. Thanks to Morristown Marine for putting on a great series of tournaments and I look forward to the next one on Cherokee. I haven’t been on Cherokee in 20 years so I’ve got some homework to do before December 14th. Please subscribe and share and thanks for watching!
