DON’T give me NUMBERS give me RESULTS when we talk Bass Fishing

I don’t care if we are talking about batteries, baits, rods or reels. I don’t want just your advice I want to see it actually work. Anyone can talk in front of a camera about how good something is, you can even put it on a label. I want to see it in action.

  1. Thank you for showing us your set up and sharing your experiences. These people saying negative things need to set up their own YouTube channel. I learned a lot from your video about batteries, so Thank you!

  2. Hey Todd, if you'd be kind enough to humor me, I'd like to give you my unsolicited opinion (I know…)

As a content creator you're always going to have two main kinds of viewers. There are the ones who listen, learn and ask questions that stimulate the growth of your community's knowledge. Then there are the viewers that will critique in bad faith, make disparaging comments, that won't listen to something you've repeated multiple times in a video and generally ignore the nuance that comes with your opinions.

Please don't fall into the trap that many good content creators do by making videos geared towards that second (often smaller vocal minority) group when their channel starts experiencing growth. I know it's easy to only hear the ignorant and negative folks out there, but I'd urge you to Instead focus on the people that absorb the wisdom you're putting out there and take the time to try and understand what you're saying.

Your channel's focused approach of learning the process of fishing and how decision making is critical has fostered a great community with fascinating subjects. Please don't lose that by fixating on the voices of haters.

  3. There is always the "I've been an electical engineer for X years and" or the "I've been fishing for X amount of years"……..people just can't close their pie holes, LISTEN to the message and glean what they what could pertain to them and just move on. There is ALWAYS that one (or several) that know better than everyone else, even professionals.

  4. Todd not asking for your setup but based on what you have seen in the past. Would you feel comfortable running one battery for your cranking, electronics (3 graphs) and live well if you were fishing all day and need all items to maintain working status. Considering If you were not staying in one area for overly extended time periods and were running the big motor to get to the next spot at least every hour or so (and running it for at least 10 to 15 mins).

  5. I wonder if my comment sent him off, lol. I was just explaining how series and parallel works for people that probably didn't understand. I know he knows. I know there's no way he couldn't know. I did say the end of my comment that real results vary. I didn't say he was wrong.

  6. I’m always getting hung up with 2.5 squarebills on 20# Strike King fluoro in stuff I can’t reach with a 7’6” rod stuck all the way down. Obviously they’re diving deeper than people say they will even in 12# line. 😂
I need to start carrying a retrieval stick like you showed recently but I’m running out of space on the yak.
