I can’t always trust my graph with the super grassy lakes. Like 18 ft still has eel grass or that thin mossy stuff. And or rather tannic lakes with a ton of gar, Shad, spec and big catfish. The water even being stirred by the trolling motor looks like fish.

On that lake specifically… they have been on the move a lot. Deeper piles are producing a lot of smaller fish. I’ve been migrating to the bank near the deeper water and having a lot of luck bring a Ned or worm down the bank into the deeper water and have caught 4 fish between 8 lbs and my new PB at 11.2 and mostly in that 10-12 ft range. In the afternoon I’ve caught so many fish between the 6-8 lb range on a moving top water bait that it’s ridiculous. That lake in the fall has always had me working shallower options close to deeper water. Every single time!
