  1. I basically do the same thing you do: 4 -5 ft of 40 lb Ande to 3 ft of 20 lb Blue Seguar. The only thing i do differently is tie loop knots in the leader material and join the 20 to 40 lb sections using a loop to loop connection. This way, when your 20 lb section gets too short, you can easily swap in a new section without having to tie a new blood knot or double uni.
