Did The Florida Fish Kill Ruin My Favorite Fishing Spot?

Florida’s freezing temperatures absolutely wreaked havoc on backwater fish in central Florida. The fish kill was far worse than I could have imagined. This is where I learned to catch salt water fish in Florida when I moved here and seeing it like this was difficult to say the least.

Understanding the devastation these backwater estuaries experienced is important and documenting the recovery process is also important. Events like this can change a waterway forever, over the next few months I will be testing this one small snippet of water running an experiment to see what wildlife returns and what doesn’t.
