you should always kill all pike minnows. They eat salmon fry and trout. They will decimate salmon populations

I haven't caught any smallmouth there yet but tons of pikeminnow. It definitely doesn't take long to kayak the perimeter i did the full round trip this past summer and look forward to doing it again. Especially knowing top water works there lol. Great video

Cool tip for fishing a popper with a spinning Rod …. Tighten the drag down tighter than usual for the initial strike and loosen after you've set the hook 👍

Smallmouth this time of year tend to commit more to striking a lure that is traveling faster. They have less time to analyze what they are hitting.
