Creek Fishing With Minnows Produces Big Bass and a Pike

In this creek fishing adventure, my friend Mike and I fished a small creek with minnows and ended up catching several fish including some big bass and a surprise northern pike measuring 21 inches.

This was the first time fishing with minnows in this creek and it paid off. We used large minnows to attract bigger fish. My biggest catch of the day was a chunky smallmouth bass measuring 18 inches! I also catch a 16-inch smallmouth right after I catch the 18-incher.
