This was crazy!!! I made a cast into a lay down and my line went over a branch and my bait hit the water. I was juggling the line to try and get it off the branch and a fish came up and crushed the bait but the fish came off because of my line on the overhanging branch. I was pretty bent because it was a BIG bass. So, I just keep casting and few casts later which I think it was the same fish came out from a log and age the bait again. It pulled me into some thick branches underwater right in front of the boat. You can see me kneeling down looking at this fish while it’s snagged with the bait in its mouth on the branches. I didn’t know what to do and was freaking out so I put my rod down and I was going to grab the fish and try to get it out of the branches. It ended up getting out of the branches and it was still hooked up so I grab my rod and boat flip her right into the boat. My new PB upstate ny largemouth 5.93. This was the craziest 2 days of fishing I have ever had. 2 fish over 5 in two days. Multiple fish over 4 and a bunch of 3’s and high 2’s. All on Toxic Baits Wade Hoggs and Whippersnapper 2.0.
Since I bought my boat it has been a game changer. Multiple fish over 5lbs this year and breaking my PB 2 times this season and I can feel that this is just the beginning.
