Does this look like a bass nest to you? I don't see any bass eggs and you might need to sharpen your hooks or something to get more strikes
Great concept love to see the underwater footage. I think ya missed the mark on the annalise though. From my perspective the reason why the bass was less aggressive tward the bait on the bottom was the simple fact that the bait wasn't a threat. If you look close you can see the fry… no eggs on the bed floor, but swimming and moving fry.
This is why the bass is clearly more aggressive in defending against a faster moving bait representing a true predation attempt on the fry.

Once you start seeing fry and before the bass leaves the group of fry try some sort of top water bait or twitch a crankbait on the surface.

Wouldent you want to leave them on the bed tho? So they can guard the fry and protect the spawn i dont really understand bed fishing

Swimbaits are the worse bass lure the hook set is garbage I’d rather get 1 bite on a t rig than 10. On that piece of crap waste of money
The bass hits the lure when the lure looks like something alive not something fake. In water that clear movement is crucial. The more chance they have to scrutinize it the less chance there is of a take. That water is super clear, you can see the fry pretty easily. That makes it tough. I’ve seen a lot of good fishermen that come from stained water lakes pull their hair out when they encounter clear water. They can’t catch a cold unless they learn to go about things in a completely different way.
What hooks are on these so I know to avoid them?
