In this video, we fished from the bank since the kayak has been stored for winter. We found a bridge and fished the Des Plaines river here in Illinois looking for smallmouth and largemouth bass. Once again, we’re continuing to fish Geecrack soft plastics, primarily the Bellows Gill and Spiron Twin. I also fished a Keitech Impact FAT swimbait on a ball head jig.
I don’t typicaly fish this late in the year but since the winter has been mild, I decided to try my luck and fish for both smallmouth and largemouth bass. I can’t wait to get out there next year and fish out of the kayak again as I have plans to outfit the Native Slayer Max 10 with a Newport Vessels NK-180 motor.
