Cliff Pace often seeks paddle tail swimbaits that emit less action and vibration, particularly in cold water, when targeting wary or pressured bass or clear water situations. Subtle and realistic weedless paddle tails such as the Savage Gear Pulse Tail lineup (http://wired2.fish/SavageGearSwimbaitsIndex) closely match forage and fish fast like a spinnerbait, ChatterBait, or swim jig. They also perform better when skipped underneath overhanging cover like docks and fish clean through grass.

As a professional lure designer and builder himself, Pace reflects positively on the sheer breadth of today’s technique-specific lures. There are now even scores of technique-specific baits within individual lures categories such as swimbaits. Finesse swimbaits are the flat-sided crankbaits of the swimbait world and often outperform their more aggressive siblings. Add to that, a multitude of forage profiles and colors, plus customized hooking solutions, and you have a whole new set of tools in your swimbait arsenal.

Nice to see someone who don't break the fish's lower jaw by over lipping them.
Nice gentle release too…
I love the pulse tail mullet for snook and tarpon.
Which rod action is recommended for that rig?
I bought the refill pk that came with just the plastics and no hook. I put a weighted hook in it but it swims goofy & just kinda rolls side to side. Now I know why, I need the thier hook. Should've known. Thx for the vid Wired2Fish.
Such a great bait! I love em. That tail kicks great even at slow speeds. Super realistic profile that gets both eating bites, or reaction bites ripped through the grass.
Kind of odd but i was gifted a spinning reel with a 4-7 gear ratio. I normally dont throw anything larger than chatterbaits or spinners. Can I even use this reel or should i donate it
