Clearance Bass Fishing Gear at Academy & Hand Poured Lures in Mail

Tonight I’m shopping for clearance bass fishing gear at Academy as well as looking at hand poured lures I got in the mail. Over at Academy Sports I pick up a few packages of fishing lures including KVD Perfect Plastics Swim Baits and a couple packages of jig heads. I also come across a Lew’s Casting rod for $22 that I just can’t pass up. After returning to the studio and checking those out, I open some mail that was sent to the show. It contains some hand poured fishing lures sent to the show by Brain in VA. I am always happy to check out new fishing lures for the upcoming season whether they are sent in the mail, or on clearance at Academy. I hope to give them a try soon.

  1. Hard, thumping, action packed dub step while looking at fishing rods?

    That's hella realistic. 🙂

Good stuff. Kinda wish we had a discount sports store close to me. 🙁

  2. Good afternoon here from Ohio. Im so glad I found your channel. I myself love finding the deals at all my local stores. Hope all is well and looking forward to seeing more content from you.

  3. They have a great deal on the H20 Xpress jointed sunfish lures on sale at Academy for $2.50 right now. Normally $5.99. 3.5", 12 different kinds. 4.5" 8 different kinds. They have 2 joints and swim like a real fish, and look like the real thing. I can't wait to try them out. All H20 lures are on sale for $2.50.

  4. Those hand poured baits were really neat, that was super nice of them to send those. Making your own soft plastics is something I definitely want to try.

  5. The only “outdoors” store down here is a place called Sportsman’s Warehouse and they charge out the ass. I don’t know if you have Ace Hardware near you but it’s a store with everything builders need. And one in Tucson has a fishing section with a ton of hardbaits

  6. My local academy has been selling stuff so cheap that i am stocked for the year. I have bought awesome rods and reels for 20 bucks a piece, awesome plastics for a dollar, terminal tackle for a dollar. Kayak accessories and camping gear too. Love that yellow tag.

  7. I was able to go to the Academy in Smyrna, Tn and get a H2o Express 7ft, heavy action casting rod for $50.00 that was originally $100.00. I did notice that you were fishing one with your Castking baitcast reel.

  8. I actually really liked those hand poured baits. Bass baits prices have gone nuts. Totally nuts. Good job fighting the myth that u need to buy that overpriced silicone in order to catch fish
