MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. I have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey…it should be an honest and fun ride!
Owner jig heads are solid. Owner has a nice full lineup for hooks and jig heads. I mix in Picasso and Hayabusa at times.
Love that you rock with owner so hard that's cool I like them too that's wassup
I love the owner darter head. But I do wish they would have a bigger hook for the bigger plastics.
Yeah, I can appreciate that if you wanted to go to an eight inch plastic, there has to be some mass on the hook to enable one to make it even swim, instead of float.
Are the regular 'structure jigs' you guys throw around structure, are they purposefully made much heavier, owing to buoyancy and hydraulic resistance of shirt and trailer, or chunk combined? In structure jig fishing, is the rate of fall vertically part of the trigger?
Only reason I'm asking is I'm about to dress some ball heads as regular, improvised structural jigs. And the 'gram' numbers that are mentioned are some of the packets I've had in a drawer for months. Waiting until I get around to them. The only equivalent there is in steelhead world is probably a fly called the Squidro, a Scott Howell creation. Large 'water displacement' bait, intended to trigger fish by lateral line. If you see the Squidro though, it's a steelhead trailing hook construction.
I hope the video is how to fix that foot pedal when it goes out. Got AA’s in mine right now.
Now these are the video I like from you
I got a box from Tackle Warehouse last week with some range rollers in it, but my box wasn’t even close to that big. I got a little jealous there lol
You are the ultimate tease. Are you like that at home too? "Hey honey I noticed that new outfit you bought and it made me think….tell ya tomorrow "!!!
Nothing like staring at a screen watching a guy stare at a screen
Those range roller xl’s are the legit. The owner xl’s and Picasso’s are the best big hook Biwa rigging heads on the US market. Todd, how does it work with you getting stuff from the Cultiva (Japanese) side of Owner? Like, are you able to have access to the stuff produced on that side before it is brought over to the US side? Just curious more than anything else, because those xl’s have been out for a while on the Japanese side. They’ve got some other fire stuff that I hope will becoming over to the US side soon, so it will be more readily available.
Last spring Toledo Tackle had several packs of the Haymaker hooks in 3/0 4/0 and 5/0… I was looking everywhere online and never found them so I bought every pack they had even asked if they had any in the back. I restocked about a month ago so I have tons of them now but if I'm flipping with fluorocarbon thats the hook I have on its a phenomenal hook… i just ordered some of tbese jigheads last week to check them out i like that tbe lead comes up high on the hook eye so i can tie a regular knot.
That haymaker hook is hard to beat. Can’t lose them with that hook.
I hope nobody falls for that assfar scammer in here
Been throwing those heads for awhile , they are great. I have to go to a baitcaster tho
That had to be straight from this morning, it was super foggy in E TX
It's been awhile since you broke a trolling motor
No more Speeney Todd, back to power fishing todd.
