What pool vids do you guys want to see next??
Wow amazing. Would like to know what set and brand of rod and reel that can throw all those swimbait?
I fish every single night for trophy river and lake stripers here in eastern Tennessee, one of the best places on the planet for huge stripers. I'm only throwing big swim and glide baits these days now. I have cheap ones and expensive ones. Some cheap ones are fantastic, some expensive ones suck. It just depends on current, line type and weight and rod. I seem to like the $30-$75 range ones the best. There are so many good ones on ebay all different price ranges and skill levels. I can tell you this tho, from 65 years of fanatical striper fishing all over the country in fresh and salt water. Whatever type of swim/glide bait you're using, there are only 2 color patterns you need, shad/or white, and rainbow trout, that's it, usually a 9 inch is the minimum size if you're after big fish like I am. I don't get many, because I don't use live bait and I'm a boatless bank fisherman, but the ones I get are real big ones, usually 35 lbs+. In the last 25 years I've caught 5 50lbers, and 3 of those were on 3 consecutive casts off tobay Beach long island. A school of huge bass was swimming by and I was right there. All 3 were 55 pounders. . I'm using only the most insanely expensive JDM tackle like Daiwa saltiga dogfights $1000+ , and 66 insane lbs of drag, shimano stella, twin power, and St croix, and Lamiglas glass rods. When I hook a big one, there are no excuses, line broke, hook straightened, drag too tight or loose, knot failed etc. This is my hobby, my life and I take it seriously. I'm the guy who owns the tennesse license plate "STRIPER". I've had it 20 years. It's striper fever and I've got it bad. I chased these awesome fish all over the country, I was in on the big striper boom in the 1980s in California at Silverwood and lake pyramid, and then i move to bullhead city Arizona and was there for those few years on the colorado river striper boom in the 1990s also. Ive never kept or killed a striper, every one is released alive…..my quest now is to get a verified 60 pounder. A very high bar to try to achieve. But im in the right waters, i use top notch tackle and i know what im doing, so you never know…if i get a 60, youll know. Today with cell phone cameras, the proof can go worldwide in seconds. Hopefully it will happen. Ive certainly paid my dues…..Tight lines boys.
I just buy the knock off expensive ones.
Fish don’t give a fuck. They will eat a hot dog out the fridge.
I would rathe Annr have a 6th Sense Flow Glider with the MF'er Mod than I would have a Spro Chad Shad
800 bucks??…..hell naw
What do you think about the old catch 22 ?
When do you use a snap or split ring ?
Spending $1000 on a bait that you can snap on a cast is literally the definition of being mongoloid. You can get the deps slider swimmers in the 175 size for $30 in used condition on ebay, and these will catch everything. Spending anything over $50 is dumb as shit, and when many are wasting $200+ on a single bait, that's just, well, mongoloid behaviour.
Here are some pike muskie walleye swim baits that that are over kill……https://youtu.be/SyfkUiZ1d6A
I would like to see a vid on how to retrieve a glide bait the proper way. I have issues with my retrieve. I have the the draw and the draw mini.
This dude's fishing a bait bigger than most of the fish I catch. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter which one's more effective. $10 is still a lot to me, So i'm gonna buy the bait second afford.
CHAD SHADS $600 PLUS NOW 1 YEAR LATER
Dude talks way to much just to hear himself talk and to show off everything he knows about very1. How do u know there hasn’t been a 10+ caught on the storm bait u can’t know ur just making a selling point and to make yourself look cool for spending $900+ on 1 lure. Sorry us peasants can’t afford $100-$800+ swimbaits. We have bills and families to feed. But great video I did learn a lot about glide baits lol
Who TF is paying 800$ for a glide bait that fuckin insane
Makes sense why the Hinkle is so much more expensive, so smmooovvee
If I snagged up and lost an $800 lure, I just might have to quit fishing altogether. The being said, as to the level of detail on the paint job on a bait, I've caught fish on a wooden block (top water bait of course) with no eyes, no color, nothing on there. I've also experienced $2 swimbaits out-fishing $50 swimbaits of the relative same size and color.
That Draw was not impressive 🙁
When would you use a 3 1/2 ounce sinking 8 inch s waver? Do you want them to sink?
Would like to know your big bait approach for stained or even muddy water.
Why do you use such a big bait? And Why do they cost so much? I don't see the value.
How many 10 pounders have you caught in your lifetime?
The more erratic, haphazard and unpredictable action of the cheap baits are far more effective IMO. Cheap bait, 8 bucks, expensive bait 800 bucks. 100x more. I guarantee the more expensive bait does not catch bass 100x more effectively if at all. The reason you have caught big bass on the expensive bait is because that’s what you were using when it bit. Fish the cheap baits enough and the same will happen just like it has for 1000’s of ppl. If you spend 800 bucks on a bait human nature dictates that you convince yourself it’s far superior. Just think how ridiculous you would feel if you were forced to admit the cheap baits fish just as effectively as the ridiculously priced ones good money was spent on
the Arashi Glide will trigger some bites with 3-4 quick handle turns in addition to twitches and a straight retrieve
Regardless of what budget spectrum you find yourself in, if you brun your knot or don't tie it properly, say goodbye to that swim/glide bait.
I lost my Hinkle Shad and cried for a week. That little Amazon bait trout glide gets bit actually. Wakebait 4TW! If you throw that thing on 15, it will glide better.
One thing that is not considered in this is the fact that all these baits can be tuned. They may not be perfect out of the package but you can easily make them swim better. Some suspend lead strips and hook changes can make all the difference.
I wish I could afford even the 8 dollar one I just cheap ass lures I’m broke
The Sneaky Pete is a glide that’s meant for use in current. The designers fish rivers.
I bought the 6th sense draw and it’s supposed to be slow sinking and it floats 🤷♂️ not real happy with it and I’ll be calling Monday morning to see what the deal is. $75 ain’t cheap.
What about the Paperweight from Fish Everything?
Real as you want to make it, I'd pay 25$ for the trout. Just saying. 25 cents worth of material lol.
