Just want to say awesome video. I’ve been enjoying the bladed jig a lot and was trying to increase my performance with it. One question I have for you is do you ever catch them and you realize you just have them pinned and the hook hasn’t really penetrated the mouth enough? Would switching to a medium heavy moderate be the solution to this? I noticed when I switched to a moderate fast rod the hook penetrated well, but idk if that was because those fish just hit it like a train.
Steve, I like the way you prove your techniques with catching a few during the explanation of the retrieve! Awesome!
Uh-oh this could be trouble, lol
That’s A Video Coop.
Man awesome content, your chatter bait technique is so helpful Steve. Thanks brother going tomorrow to the delta with my son gonna give it a shot
HOT TIPS" THANKS from Idaho!
That's really effective! Lol
Great videos, Steve. I have a question: I seem to lose lots of fish on chatterbaits. I switched to a soft rod made for Chatterbaits and my hookup has improved, but I don't seem to get the hook penetration. I see you lost one at the boat also. Any tips
In response to one of the questions below you indicated that you use 4 ft. Of mono as a leader. What knot do you use to connect to the braid, and why is it not a problem to drag that knot through the rod’s guides? Or is it a problem?
Where can I buy the trailer
Always great info! Thank you!
Hey Steve, I recently discovered your channel and it’s great! Keep up the good work. I was wondering what you use to paint your blades? Also, I love that you catch two fish while demonstrating your retrieve. Proof is in the pudding.
They also have the shock d blade large blade for deep offshore
The Jackhammer is a great chatter bait but why spend 20.00 on a chatter bait when there is sometng out there just as good or better. The Picasso shock blade. It comes in the shock blade pro, the shock blade fx, the shock blade undressed, the shock blade tungsten knocker heavy cover only 9.99 at tackel warehouse. Dont believe me fish it for yourself.
Awesome video lot of good tips. What Gear ratio do you recommend for throwing chatterbaits.
Thanks, Steve! Suppose to go out Saturday probably more for striper than bass, we will see!
Great video Steve this is G ENE bova I will be applying your expertise to the jackhammer chatter Be AIT you really know what your talking about that's for sure thank you
Hi steve, have u tried the zman razor Shad as a trailer? It was actually designed to be a chatterbait trailer. I’ve had decent luck and they last forever.
Awesome video with a lot of great tips. Going to try this out this weekend. Thanks!
Steve, very helpful video. If you do another chatter bait video, could you cover rod selection. Thank you and best wishes.
Love the tips. The Delta is unique and I feel like I learn something new every time I go out and fish it.
Good video and tips. Putting links to your gear and baits would make it even better.
Very refreshing video. Clear and concise information and the video is sharp and well coordinated. Excellent work!
