  1. Just want to say awesome video. I’ve been enjoying the bladed jig a lot and was trying to increase my performance with it. One question I have for you is do you ever catch them and you realize you just have them pinned and the hook hasn’t really penetrated the mouth enough? Would switching to a medium heavy moderate be the solution to this? I noticed when I switched to a moderate fast rod the hook penetrated well, but idk if that was because those fish just hit it like a train.

  2. Great videos, Steve. I have a question: I seem to lose lots of fish on chatterbaits. I switched to a soft rod made for Chatterbaits and my hookup has improved, but I don't seem to get the hook penetration. I see you lost one at the boat also. Any tips

  3. In response to one of the questions below you indicated that you use 4 ft. Of mono as a leader. What knot do you use to connect to the braid, and why is it not a problem to drag that knot through the rod’s guides? Or is it a problem?

  4. Hey Steve, I recently discovered your channel and it’s great! Keep up the good work. I was wondering what you use to paint your blades? Also, I love that you catch two fish while demonstrating your retrieve. Proof is in the pudding.

  5. The Jackhammer is a great chatter bait but why spend 20.00 on a chatter bait when there is sometng out there just as good or better. The Picasso shock blade. It comes in the shock blade pro, the shock blade fx, the shock blade undressed, the shock blade tungsten knocker heavy cover only 9.99 at tackel warehouse. Dont believe me fish it for yourself.
