My favorite time of year to chase big Iowa bass is finally here! Tournaments are winding down, boats are getting winterized, more anglers are heading for the tree stands, and the bass are feeding up for winter.

Cooler water and less fishing pressure make this a season I look forward to, but the bite isn’t always easy. Long quiet stretches can turn into short feeding windows, and it’s all about being in the right place at the right time.
