Get some larger suspension swim baits and you might upgrade your bass. Or jig a worm.
Hey John great video if you have that problem with them not shutting there mouth again try dipping the bump board in the water and trying it again sometimes that plastic will get hot in the sun and It makes them not relax

A small 1/8 oz or larger bass live rubber jig with a crawfish trailer
Fish it slow on the bottom or just off the bottom
It will catch the bass
Also it will shock you all the other fish that will somehow fit it in their mouths
As I was using that type of jig the other day for smallmouth bass and I kept hooking large rock bass and Channel Catfish
