Did you make the glide bait or just paint it? If you didn't make it what brand is it?
I wanted to dabble around with the jointed swim baits/glide baits, but they are just to pricey and I don't have a super heavy rod to throw anything over 1 1/2 oz. I only have a single strike king king shad from way back when, that was apparently discontinued a few years ago. I was lookin to maybe find some of them in another color and those are even on ebay for like 25-50 bucks ……. sheeeesh. I saw that Karl's has their catch co/mike bucca baby bull shad/baby bull gill on sale for $10.64 . I'm going to give those a try, along with changing out the split rings and hooks on this old king shad
This bait group is on my list this year, I fully expect that there are going to be less fish, but my hope is that the ones I do catch are better fish
Have yet to catch a fish on either a large swimbait or a jerkbait.
Happy for you bud. I’ve been at it a year from the bank, and only just had my first bite back in December. Lost a solid bass 4 feet from the bank. Just got some custom wakes, glides, and Ploppers painted. Can’t wait till it warms up.

It’s hard to put down a bait that’s working ( or that you just have confidence in ) but it is fun to throw big glidebaits and wakebaits
