Takes me WAY back, one buddy had a monster tank with a pair of breeding Red Devils. Very territorial fish, if other tank inhabitants start coming up dead, it's them. The ones with pronounced lips are Amphilophus labiatus, it looks like the shoal you found is A. Citronellus. Wide variety of colors including the more natural olive one you caught. See if you can get a couple pairs going.
