Catching Cold Weather Bass (30° Bank Fishing)

In Today’s video I’ll be heading to the Cumberland River for a morning of Bank Fishing. The weather has been all over the place making for some rather “unpredictable” fishing conditions and recently dropping into the 30s and 40s as a nasty cold front rolls in. Given the conditions I’ll downsizing my lures and utilizing BFS fishing gear. Despite the cold fishing conditions, we’ll be catching a variety of species of fish including Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, White bass, and the infamous Skipjack Herring.

Throughout the video I’ll touch on the gear I’ve chosen to utilize and why, doing my best to make recommendations and explain my methods behind cold weather bank fishing. When temps drop as low as they have in today’s video, these fish can be tricky to locate and catch however we’ll be sure to hook into some nice ones.

Following the fishing portion of the video we’ll enter into our “Breaking Down the Bait” segment and take a closer look at the lures and terminal tackle I selected. This segment will include an in depth look at the specifications, pros and cons, as well as rigging of the fishing lures used in this video.

TLDR: In today’s video I’ll be doing some cold weather bank fishing for a variety of species.
