Catching BIG Bass in Chandler, AZ

In this video, I went to ASU research park in Chandler, Arizona in hopes of catching some big bass and bluegill. This was an epic day of catching fish, hanging out with the wifey, and also diving into God’s Word.

Believe it or not, the only bait that I used was hotdogs, and it seems to work great in these urban ponds/lakes for both bluegill and bass. I used a simple slip bobber and a size 4 hook, and it seemed to get the job done. Stay tuned for the variety of fish I catch using hotdogs in Chandler, Arizona!

If you are new to the channel, my goal is to entertain you guys with a fishing video but more importantly show y’all God’s Word. Today, we focused on Psalms 18:6, paired with Philippians 4:6-7.

Psalm 18:6

[6] In my distress I called upon the LORD;
to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears.

Philippians 4:6-7

[6] do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. [7] And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The main takeaway from this passage is that even though we do not know why certain thing happen, and that the distress we feel is overbearing, we can have faith that God will be there every step of the way, and give us peace despite out understanding.

These passages are amazing, and it correlates to hard times in my life right now. It is absolutely amazing that we have the gift of God caring and walking alongside us in suffering and distress. He can do that with us, because he did that to his own son, Jesus, who bore our sins on the cross and providing a way for us to be in relation with God.
