Catching Bass In Extreme Low Water Conditions | Witbank Dam

All the water levels at our dams are extremely low but this doesn’t stop us bass fishermen from trying to catch bass in these extreme low water conditions.

In todays video the road for the green fishing jacket takes us to Witbank Dam to pre fish for or second stop for divisional.

Witbank Dam water levers are at an extreme low at the moment and as all bass fishermen know, this makes bass fishing really tricky. The bass are in a funny mood due to the constant water levels dropping.

As tournament bass anglers we need to get out on the water to try and make the best of every situation possible. We need to find patterns and try to figure out what the bass are going to be doing for tournament.

The day started at a very high and positive vibe. this was because we just got onto the water. After making casts for the first hour and not getting an bites at witbank dam this started to break our moods. After fishing many spots at witbank dam and figuring out the spots only had small bass swimming around we decided to jump from spot to spot. This is key in practice because we want to eliminate as much water as possible to figure out where these bass are going to be hiding.

The water levels being so low at witbank dam didn’t help the fishing at all because catching bass in extreme low water conditions is the trickiest task imaginable.

Witbank dam on this day humbled us to a point where it seemed impossible to catch bass. hopefully this would change on competition day.
