Shallow water is key. Consistent source of O2. They will want access to deep water near by, like very close
Remember that wind adds a lot more oxygen to upper layer
Turnover… maybe. Up here our lake bottoms are 40-100 ft deep and water there is 40-50F. What actually happens is the bottom layers cool more, the thermocline rises and the upper water layers sink at the same time. Keep in mind that the photoperiod is decreasing so the bottom of the lake cools too.

Being new to boat fishing i almost always fish shallow. I gotta start trying some of shore fishing
Any tips for September river fishing?
Dude you literally described how I just caught my biggest bass of the year. Reservoir was overfished, so I took a kayak up the main creek, past where the boats can go, and the bass were hitting topwater all around me!
Fishing a yak tournament on Beaver next weekend. My instinct was to run up a creek, but I've been a little indecisive. This helps me support my instinct.
Thank you
Does this happen even if a lake is at the most 20’ deep?
I caught a bass on worm and cut line because swallowed and my partner caught the same bass 4 hours later on a chatter bait. Still had my hook in throat. So we know the same fish. Are bass as really smart as we hear or almost zero memory? Which is correct? Just asking
Is there a significant turnover in the shallow parts of the lake ?
What if the weeds are dead would they still be in them or move somewhere else
Man August was a wild month for me, big bass and some crazy musky catches from my kayak lol but I've been fishin super hard the past 2 days and can't get a single bite! That is very unusual for this place and I'm convinced that somthin is wrong, it must be the "turnover". After all, the section of lake that is typically clear is actually very murky, almost muddy. Reckon how long this will last?
What do you consider "shallow"?
Love the in depth videos, I feel like I’m listening to the a pro explain something. Thanks man
