When the largemouth bass refuse to cooperate, sometimes the best fishing decision is knowing when to switch gears! In today’s episode of LiveWell Bass Fishing, buddy Kevin Neal and I abandoned our largemouth game plan and went searching for aggressive smallmouth bass—and we hit the action just right. The doubles started happening, the rods stayed bent, and the laughs never stopped.
Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without reminding our good friend Dennis Bower what he was missing while he was stuck at work. Dennis became the punchline of the day, and trust me, we weren’t about to let him forget it! Between the nonstop smallmouth action, friendly ribbing, and the anticipation of a big, juicy Bozo Burger waiting for us at day’s end at the legendary C&D Drive-In at 103 N Main St in Boardman, Oregon, this fishing trip had everything we could ask for.
