Great video! Thanks!
Why fluorocarbon leader instead of a monofilament leader?
I've been fishing in Florida for over 40 years and I feel like a preschooler listening to Roland, he knows so much and loves to share his knowledge. I have learned more in hours watching his videos than I have with actual experience. Thank you Roland, you are the GOAT
Enjoy your teaching Roland .
Great video
No Bass are bad Bass. Priceless
Excellent information. I have known about the Carolina rig for quite a while but have not used it nearly enough or even properly. Thanks so much for this informative video. The best I have seen on the Carolina rig. Roland is the best.
Roland, that bead doesn’t protect the line, it protects the weight from damaging the knot. I’m not 100% convinced of its effectiveness though.
Where is that pond at? I'd like to fish it sometime.
I love watching roland martin so much wisdom and hes funny
Which lake were you fishing at? I'm also in Florida (Lakeland).
Old Original Angler's 🎣🐟💦🌊😂😂😂
Awesome catch. Thanks for the tips Roland!
ive been trying to find out what the beads are for. thanks roland!
I dont know when I learned more from Roland, when I was 12 years old in 1982, or today…. Either way, he is THE GOAT!!!
The greatest Bass Slayer is still doing it son thanks Roland,👍🏈👍🏈
hello from Montreal, Canada ! so Carolina Rig is for the big ones. If I want to cathc 100 small ones, what do you reccomend ???
The 14 dislike are 14 big bass
i wanna catch the big ones too.
Back in 1975 I started following Rolland and Bill Dance. Can not beginning to tell you how much I've learn from these gentlemen over the years. Thanks Rolland 👍
Bead simply protects the knot
In a friends pond, we take needle nose and pinch down the barb on the worm hook, to save fish from swallowing hook.
Roland, what was that tail dye you used?
Hey uncle Roland I seen the worm with a pink tail I've been looking for them copperhead made one in the late 90s early 2000s with a twisty tail please help me out brown with a pink tail as a kid not knowing much caught me slot of fish and it seems like slot of companies stopped making brown and a pink tail
Roland it’s because of you I became a decent worm fisherman! Just wanted to let you know I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm!👍
Am I the only one who wishes they could adopt Scott as their grandfather?
40 ft of floating rope + 1 eye bolt + 1 ice cream tub + 1 gallon of portland cement
= 1 Georgian Bay spot lock
Nice
Oh son, Woooo! That was a good video Roland.
Great video and great Bass
LOVE YOUR SHOWS MATE Here in the UK its cold and a little of you brightens things up Stay healthy brother
I wouldn't mind catching a hundred little ones every now and then. Although I know what you mean catching a 2 plus pounder is where it's at. Hey, I live in Canada, not Florida……. A 7 lb bass on a 5-inch worm, unbelievable.
Mr. Martin out here going against perfectionists like Tacticalbassin…
Was just watching this video because I like watching him. I think everyone Fish is a Carolina rig. I love them. But it’s just another video where he doesn’t explain to retrieve to people. I don’t know why they do that. They tell you everything except for hotter fish it.
Thank you for your videos! I was taught how to fish at the ocean and I've never had luck in my home state of West Virginia, and its been a real pain finding out how you're supposed to use the different baits. I feel like I've learned more from a few hours of watching your videos than I have in all the years of me catching next to nothing!
I grew up watching you on TV as a little kid and now as a grown man I'm watching you on youtube. I can't even begin to tell you how much you have taught me over the last 28 years I've been watching you. Thank you for taking time out of your day to teach us new techniques. Maybe one day I'll get lucky enough to shake your hand and tell you thank you in person.
Roland I watched your tv show in the 1980’s. I’m curious if this lake is the same iron ore strip pit lake you fished back then? You did one particular show where you fished out in deep water with a Jig and pig. You went on to explain in the video that people thought of you as mainly a shallow water fisherman but you went to say that you actually preferred to fish deep water structure. That was one of my favorite shows you did. It introduced me to structure fishing as a young teenager. That was such a memorable video for me.
U really no how to make someone want to get back into fishing every sense my dad and brother passed kinda just quit fishing but the way u do your videos inspire me right back into it don't no what it is but it's working went out got a new rod and some tackle thank u
Catching them that way i agree is the best way on structure
SON!
CAROLINA RIG'S MAH EVERYTHING SON! 🙂 THANK YOU SIR!!!
Man you are by far my favorite you tube fishing guide! Got me some 297 green pumpkins just have to get out on the boat and put them to work. Keep up the great content!
😁😁😁😁 at the end of this video, i did notice the crane in the background which I see in alot of your videos.
Is this video shot in 2 different locations?
Another great video.
Where U fishing?
I believe U said Fl., but I see hills in the background, Tx?
